Interventional Urology – NeoTract is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention. The Regional Interventional Urology Associate will be responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with KOLs and effectively communicate UroLift’s value proposition to all stakeholders throughout a defined Regional geography. This position partners with cross-functional teams to communicate current market conditions and develop accounts to adopt the UroLift System. This position requires thorough knowledge of the urology field and the ability to launch disruptive technologies in the urology space.  There will require a strong partnership with the assigned Regional Business Manager to include collaboration with other functions, including Market Development, Strategic Accounts, Reimbursement, Corporate Marketing, Field Training Manager, and other Urology Consultant Team Members.

This position supports the customer during surgical procedures and is also responsible for any follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service and education as requested or required.  In addition, the candidate for this role must posses a desire to have a personalized developmental plan to progress towards a Urology Consultant or Market Development Manager position and/or mentor other Interventional Urology Associates on selling skills, territory management, and other projects as assigned by the Regional Business Manager.



  • Clear understanding of and ability to articulate verbally clinical and technical product knowledge relating to assigned products
  • Thorough knowledge of multi-level stakeholder selling process (C-Suite, Marketing, Physician Liaison, other HCP stakeholders such as Primary Care/Internal Medicine
  • Communicate current market conditions and recommend improvements to the commercial process.
  • Educate and train physicians, surgeons, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to UroLift
  • Be able to compliantly articulate the pharma-co-economic value proposition of the Urolift procedure in the current private payor landscape as well as in self-insured health systems (such as the UK, Kaiser, etc.)
  • Attend and actively participate in industry related training/ meetings/ events for business development opportunities
  • Be able to recognize and be flexible to adapt to current business trends and needs, developing new systems or sales processes to combat the changing climate change in business climate (i.e., Urolift Proficiency Pathway, TM Bible, etc)
  • Maintain current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as be a Competitive Selling Team Lead on competitive products
  • Retain relationships within current customer base by identifying opportunities that may help formulate sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships that lead to increasing use of products within target accounts
  • Develop and maintain productive cross-functional relationships in and outside of Teleflex to share knowledge and leverage synergies within the organization
  • Engage in advanced level market development activities as specifically assigned by the Regional Business Manager to advance the Regional Initiatives
  • Organize and manage information utilizing CRM or other related tools as directed
  • Maintain current records and administrative duties, including inventory, sales reporting and expense management
  • Maintain all required Vendor Credentialing requirements with assigned medical facilities
  • Conform with Teleflex Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards
  • Conforms with Teleflex Q/EHS Policy
  • Interact frequently with Health Care Professionals including urologists, doctors, nurses, technicians, procurement, inventory control, administrative staff and related personnel

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ year of documented successful medical device experience required-- in medical device marketing, sales or service– preferably within the Teleflex Business Units and/or IUBU
  • Have experience in both self-contained payor systems as well as private payor systems
  • Ability to be on time and prepared for each case deployed
  • Must be mobile and willing to travel 50% of the time into all territories of the region, including some overnights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship and consultative selling skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • High attention for detail and excellent follow through
  • Pro-active; high-performance and results orientation
