Position Summary

The role, reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager Global Procurement (Purchasing Controls & Sustainability), will support the Global Procurement function, in managing multiple programmes and driving continuous process / procedure improvements within our Quality Management System (QMS).  
As part of delivering these programmes and improvements you will be required to engage multiple stakeholders within Global Procurement and other departments within Teleflex

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
•    Scoping, management and driving continuous process and procedure driven improvements with our Conflict Minerals Programme to meet annual reporting obligations.
•    Scoping, management and driving continuous process and procedure driven improvements within our Labour Standards Programme to maintain our annual accreditation
•    Integrate our Labour Standards Programme into our Sustainable Procurement Programme, driving continuous process and procedure driven improvements to meet our future regulatory reporting requirements.
•    Assist in identifying industry trends for the above programmes and recommend process improvements to drive best in class processes and performance.
•    Support the Purchasing Controls function with Vendor On-boarding driving continuous process and procedure driven improvements.
•    Support the Sustainable Procurement onboarding of Teleflex suppliers into our 3rd Party Software Platforms – EcoVadis and Sedex.
•    Gather, interpret, and analyse data to develop actionable steps that improve the Programmes above.
•    Gather, interpret, and analyse data to develop and maintain formal procedures to support each of the assigned programmes to ensure consistency in execution of activities.
•    Responsible for drafting and presenting monthly KPI reports on the programmes you are managing.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Third level degree required, preferably in a Supply Chain or Procurement discipline
•    Demonstrated 5 years’ experience as a Supply Chain Specialist / Supply Chain Engineer.
•    Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis, Preventative and Corrective Actions
•    Demonstrated experience in the creation and maintenance of Quality Management System / Business Procedures
•    Demonstrated experience in driving continuous process improvements
•    Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
•    Ability to interpret large datasets, use statistical tools, and build predictive models.
•    Experience using software platforms Ecovadis and Sedex (desirable but not essential)
•    Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and carbon footprint reduction, Science Based Targets (SBT) and Ethical Due Diligence (desirable but not essential)
•    Highly competent in Microsoft packages – Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Experience with PowerBI desirable but not essential)
•    Experience in SAP or Oracle Procurement/Maintenance Systems is preferred
•    Excellent attention to detail with experience of delivering value-add reporting and analytics.
•    Good problem solving and proactive problem avoidance skills.
•    Project management experience.

•    Strong skill set to manage relationships.  i.e., manufacturing and supply chain 
•    Must have ability to work and deliver multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

•    Ability to creatively solve issues and apply sound business judgment.
•    Ability to function equally well independently and as part of a team.
•    Capability to work remotely or in the office as required.
•    Must be able to operate in a hybrid work model as required.
