Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager (Logistics & Distribution EMEA) manages all distribution, warehousing, and logistical functions across assigned Teleflex Medical European Distribution Centres (including 3PL facilities and direct sites in the UK, and additional regional hubs as required). Operations encompass the end-to-end receipt, storage, inventory control, order processing, and compliant shipment of medical products and accessories across all Teleflex Medical brands.


This role provides operational leadership to local management teams, 3PL site vendors and a geographically dispersed team of Inventory Analysts and interface support personnel. The position serves as the primary liaison between internal business units, global transportation networks, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, working continuously to position Teleflex Medical as a preferred, high-value supplier of medical devices.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Strategic Execution & Performance Management: Develop and execute regional Distribution & Logistics strategies aligned with business and customer goals, delivering agreed KPIs and 3PL service levels.
•    Operations & Daily Warehouse Oversight: Coordinate and supervise daily distribution and warehouse activities to ensure efficient operations, accurate workload management, and timely receipt, storage, fulfilment, and delivery.
•    People Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, mentor, and develop direct and indirect teams, fostering trust, engagement, accountability, and an entrepreneurial culture.
•    Inventory Management: Ensure effective inventory control and lead a geographically dispersed team of Inventory Analysts and support personnel.
•    Regulatory Compliance & Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety and environmental standards, GMP, ISO, OSHA, and applicable local regulations.
•    Cost Control & Financial Stewardship: Manage operational costs across labor, freight, carriers, and facilities while driving efficiency, reducing waste, and meeting budgets.
•    3PL Vendor & Freight Carrier Management: Manage 3PL and carrier performance and contracts, resolving service issues, claims, shipment delays, packaging, and export challenges.
•    Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence: Lead Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and cross-functional value.
•    Systems & Master Data Optimization: Oversee WMS and SAP processes, resolving system and data issues while maintaining master data integrity.
•    Executive Collaboration & Stakeholder Interface: Support executive strategy and collaborate with key functions including Sales, Customer Service, QA/RA, Planning, Finance, IT, Tenders, and Master Data.
•    Reporting & Support Functions: Oversee operational reporting covering capacity, staffing, labor efficiency, receipts, storage, and maintenance, while supporting global supply chain initiatives.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Education & Professional Credentials: Relevant 3rd Level Qualification / Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Information Technology required. Master's Degree (MBA) advantageous. Professional certifications such as ASCM (APICS CPIM/CSCP), IIPMM, Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Project Management (PMP/PMI), or Process/Training qualifications strongly preferred.
•    Industry Experience: Proven track record in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sectors operating within strictly regulated GxP, ISO, and FDA environments.
•    Logistics & 3PL Site Governance: Demonstrated expertise managing external 3PL vendors, multi-site distribution networks, warehousing operations, contractual commitments, and indirect support teams across international regions.
•    Inventory Management: Inventory management experience essential. 
•    Systems & ERP Technical Mastery: Deep working knowledge of ERP functionality in Supply Chain & Logistics (SAP Order Management [OM], Warehouse Management [WM], and Production Planning [PP]). Understanding of systems integration, data flow mechanics, and productivity tools (Power BI, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

•    Business Acumen & Cost Management: Strong financial and business acumen gained in a metric-driven organization. Experience in operational cost control, budget management, freight rate analysis, and P&L optimization.
•    Change Management & Leadership: Proven capability to drive organizational and operational change management projects. Strong team leadership, employee coaching/mentoring, and talent development capabilities.
•    Problem-Solving & Project Management: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to craft creative solutions, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and prioritize customer-critical tasks.
