Position Summary

Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific Information Technology programs of projects within the Quality Assurance & Reg Affairs (QARA) and Global Supply Chain areas, ensuring consistency and alignment with company strategies, goals, processes and procedures.

Principal Responsibilities

Planning


•    Lead the development of information technology strategies.
•    Initiate new project requests including analysis of possible solutions, scope definition, resource, cost and schedule planning.
•    Drive the alignment of IT strategy to the objectives of the QARA and Global Supply Chain teams.
•    Collaborate with key business stakeholders in QARA and Global Supply Chain, system integrators and internal Teleflex teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
•    Drive standardization and consistency of QARA and Global Supply Chain processes and solutions.
•    Partner with the QARA and Global Supply Chain program management in the planning of scope, schedule, resource and cost.
•    Develop requests for proposals (RFP’s) for external services.


Execution


•    Lead project teams in the analysis, design, implementation and development of information systems. 
•    Management of the relationship with relevant external consultants, vendors and system integrators
•    Liaise with business owners to ensure effective communication and translation of business needs into technical requirements. 
•    Champion change management activities, negotiate agreements and commitments.

 

Principle Responsibilities

Control


•    Oversight of all IT projects within the assigned function.
•    Monitors progress and evaluates program and project performance on regular basis.
•    Ensures adherence to all relevant IT policies, procedures, and computer systems validation standards.
•    Ensures accurate and timely project reporting to stakeholders, including progress updates, cost reports, and risk registers.
•    Monitors and manages program and project risks, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and opportunities.
•    Collaborate with project managers and business owners to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
•    Liaises with PMO, program sponsor and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.

•    Manage resource assignments and priorities; work with other functional managers to coordinate assignments to projects and other deliverables whilst dealing with changing priorities.
•    Promote a work environment that challenges the status quo and fosters teamwork.
•    Develops, motivates, and directs IT team members and fosters a team environment.
•    Create a trusting, collaborative, and ethical work environment that positively contributes to employee engagement.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Proven track record of leading, designing and executing on significant programs of business process and IT systems reengineering and change within the Global Supply Chain or QARA areas.
•    Extensive experience in applying structured project management and systems development methodologies to deliver business change.
•    Business acumen and experience within the IT, Global Supply Chain and QARA functions.
•    Ability to bring best practice experience to Teleflex.
•    Experience of building relationships with executive and senior leadership, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels. 
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills, developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives.
•    Proven facilitation skills across multiple business disciplines, organization levels and geographies.
•    The ability to prioritize and manage several projects and customers simultaneously.
•    Excellent communication skills.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Six Sigma or other Business Process Mapping certification.
•    Professional Project Management certification.
•    PLM, eQMS, or SAP implementation experience, preferably from a business analyst or IT support discipline. 
•    Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation.
•    Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry experience including implementation of Corrective Action Preventive Action initiatives.
