Position Summary

Project Darwin is a global strategic initiative within Teleflex. The key objective of this project is to successfully deploy a global TMS (Transport Management System) and data warehousing solution. This system is required for the financial and operational management of Teleflex's Global Transport network. The system will provide real-time visibility, cost audit functionality, as well as detailed reporting on all elements of Teleflex's Transport network. 
This role will be the Project Lead responsible for all project management activities associated with the successful delivery of this new system, both internally and with our suppliers/partners. This position requires a candidate with the ability to manage a broad set of activities, as described below.

Principal Responsibilities


•    Lead all site/multisite implementation activities associated with the rollout of the future solution.
•    Lead TMS Global implementation at TFX sites, 3PLs, Sterilisers, 3PFGs, Raw material Suppliers and Transport Suppliers. 
•    Responsible for ensuring the system and data warehousing solutions meet the needs and requirements of the business. 
•    Develops and manages project schedules to ensure all milestones are met, including leading and managing a team to transition site/s from current processes and systems ensuring all local procedures are updated and reflect the new global process.
•    Develop and manage the transition/implementation plans for the site/s with the understanding of the requirements for all functions impacted by change.
•    Responsible for all project management activities, including but not limited to: Change Control, Communications, Risk Management, Budgetary Management and Scheduling. 
•    Actively identify risks to any element of the project and pro-actively work to find solutions.
•    Ensures there is effective engagement and alignment with site and global leadership.
•    Interfaces directly with business and process partners to understand their needs and objectives first-hand.
•    Work with SMEs, site champions and functions to integrate the global TMS solution into the site while minimizing impact to the business as part of cutover.
•    Conduct workshops with business SMEs and technical teams as required
•    Lead data migration activities to migrate data as part of the rollout of the new TMS solution.
•    Provide updates, reports, monitor KPIs and identify risks for site data migration in line with overall project plan.
•    Ensure quality of documentation produced 
•    Present updates via PowerPoint & Teleflex internal Planview system on status, risks, budget, timeline..
•    Ensure proper communication of project at site level in partnership with operations to ensure project success.  
•    Responsible for ensuring all deliverables have been met and finalize the project
•    Support other activities as required.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading a similar initiative in a fast-paced work environment with strong analytical ability
•    Strong project management and organizational change management skills 
•    Understanding of Design Control, Change Control, Product Life Cycle Management, Sustaining Changes, including experience of cost savings and product / process improvement
•    SAP knowledge is an advantage, but not essential 
•    TMS knowledge is a distinct advantage 
•    Project management experience with IT system roll outs 
•    Ability to accurately scope projects and consider the full impact of decisions and actions taken.
•    Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure.
•    Effective communicator of issues, facts and ideas/solutions to senior members of the organization. 
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills, developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives.
•    Proven facilitation skills across multiple business disciplines, organization levels and geographies.
•    Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
•    Manage personnel directly or indirectly to achieve the objectives of the project.
•    Must be fluent in English both written and oral.
•    Excellent written, presentation, communication, and investigation skills.
•    Outstanding computer skills including MRP, Microsoft Excel and MS Suite. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Power Bi.
•    Excellent organizational and analytical skills
•    PMP Certification required
•    MS Project knowledge required
•    Bachelor (or equivalent) degree required 
•    5+ years experience in an Project or Programme Role required 
•    Experience with deployment of Global TMS or equivalent system roll out
•    Six Sigma or other Business Process Mapping certification a plus.
•    Agile, Lean, or Prince2 advantage.
