Position Summary

The S&OP Lead is a strategic role critical in advancing Teleflex’s mission of improving the health and quality of people’s lives by enabling reliable, compliant, and responsive supply of medical devices to healthcare professionals worldwide. 
The role is responsible for leading and supporting an integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process that aligns commercial demand, operational capability, and financial objectives across the business. Acting as change agent and connector between Commercial, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, the S&OP Lead ensures that planning decisions are  data‑driven, and risk‑aware, supporting high service levels, appropriate inventory positioning, and sustainable growth.
Through robust forecasting, scenario planning, and continuous improvement of planning processes, the S&OP Lead enables leadership to make informed decisions that protect continuity of supply, optimize resources, and support Teleflex’s long‑term strategy of delivering trusted medical technologies to clinicians and patients globally.

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

•    Global coordination by Business Unit (BU)
•    Facilitating and orchestrating end-to-end S&OP process and calendar
•    Creating and maintaining S&OP dashboards, reports, and outputs
•    Leading monthly Global S&OP and Pre-S&OP meetings across functions
•    Translating business drivers into a consolidated plan
•    Facilitating resolution of demand and supply imbalances through escalation and cross-functional alignment.
•    Point of contact between operations and Business Units (point of escalation for both sides)
•    Focus on future planning based on S&OP data and information and not on Backorder detail
•    Change agent: rolling out the new role and all other S&OP roles at different levels;
•    Ensure scalability and standardization of S&OP processes
•    Continuous Improvement and standards rollout
•    Stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate with Commercial Business Units
•    Source of BU and operations insights for Revenue Review
•    Identify and communicate key risks and opportunities
•    Present tradeoffs for decision making to senior leadership
•    Structure, organizing and facilitating each S&OP meeting for Product Planners, Demand Planners and IPN 
•    Escalation path for risks and opportunities to the forecast captured
•    Provide risk mitigation options to facilitate quick decision-making by LT
•    Focus on strategy and future planning

Education / Experience Requirements

•    BS or BA degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field (MBA preferred)
•    CPM or similar accreditation preferred
•    A minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar role (preferably with a medical device manufacturer or large manufacturing-based organization)
•    Familiar with FDA, cGMP, and ISO quality system requirements for a diverse medical device manufacturer

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approx 10% travel required
