Position Summary
This role is responsible for supporting the Global Transport Operational, Logistics Procurement, Service delivery and Analytical activities.
Principal Responsibilities
• Leading RFQ activity in Ocean, Air, Road and Parcel freight, conducting in depth analysis, producing clear high-level reports for decision-making.
• Build strong Supplier relationships, maintaining excellent communication with daily operational calls, Monthly business reviews and ongoing management of KPI’s with our Suppliers.
• Lead the onboarding of new Vendors to Teleflex including all Procurement onboarding activities.
• Create reports and KPIs, analyze data to monitor both domestic and international carrier performance, and identify trends and opportunities to improve Carrier performance.
• Undertake detailed logistics analysis and identify opportunities to aid efficiency and cost optimization through data evaluation.
• Manage day to day queries cross functionally on Teleflex shipments globally to ensure adherence to Agreed Transit Times and issues are resolved promptly.
• Responsible for rate accuracy, ensuring up to date rates are communicated to the TMS Operations Manager in a timely, controlled manner.
• Responsible for implementing stringent governance and process controls to ensure the accuracy of all transport related data in the TMS including but not limited to Rate updates, contract validity dates, lead-times.
• Support the Control Tower as needed with day-to-day operations as well as data maintenance, updating and validation.
• Work to continuously improve our contract management systems into the TMS software for enhanced visibility and tracking.
• Responsible for ensuring best in class EDI integrations with Carriers are understood, validated and implemented as part of all carrier contracts.
• Ensure all logistics administrative requirements are completed with impeccable attention to detail.
• Lead ongoing creation of Standard Operating Procedures for key aspects of the job role and new processes to ensure standard best practice procedures are documented.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related qualification.
• Min 6 years’ experience in Transportation/Logistics and Data Analysis
• Exceptional analytical skills regarding logistics analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create information from data.
• Experience in leading key RFQ activities (gathering data, launch, analysis, implementation)
• Must be detail orientated, with a high level of accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks to deliver on business objectives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and used of pivots and query tables.
• Experience with TMS software (SAP and/or Mercurygate preferred)
• Knowledge of EDI will be an advantage.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure analytically and systematically
• Experience implementing supply chain KPIs an advantage.
• Good organizational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Will have good judgment and problem-solving ability & be capable of understanding the impact of decision making on both Teleflex Medical and their customers.
• Experience with visualisation software such as Tableau or Power BI. (Tableau preferred)
• Experience in working alongside a TMS in similar environment will be an advantage
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 10%.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office/Professional (Hybrid) - Minimum 3 Days a week in Athlone office / 2 Days Remote
