Position Summary
The Global Product Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of innovative healthcare solutions that meet regulatory standards and improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to rationalisation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs while at the same time aligning to our business objectives. The Global Product Manager will require good communication skills as they will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders from Commercial, R&D, RAQA and Operations. Additionally, the role will require strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in product performance, usability, and commercialization strategies.
Principal Responsibilities
• Product Life Cycle Management.
• In collaboration with Demand and Supply planning provide continuous, structured, and transparent communication with regional sales managers and market developers regarding updated product information and delivery status.
• Assist in managing inventory supplies with purchasing and procurement departments.
• In compliance with internal policies, provide external customer communications as required.
• Serve as the Marketing SME for sustaining projects / CIPs
• Work closely with Regulatory and Quality to ensure that products are meeting both the market needs and MDR requirements. (Labeling, Instructions for Use, Hazards Analysis, etc.)
• Work with the commercial (customer service, supply chain, etc.) and data management teams to make sure that products are correctly represented in our internal systems (DSD, SAP, Agile).
• Support Post Market Surveillance activities as the interface between our regional marketing and sales and various internal departments (Product Quality Assurance, Clinical Medical Affairs, etc.)
• Actively participate in the development of product requirements, priorities, and plans to achieve commercial objectives for new and extended products and services; Feedback the “voice of the customer” in collaboration with the R&D team.
• In conjunction with the manager, establishes short term and long-term strategic portfolio development plans to drive the adoption of our products in target markets.
• Cooperate with sales and downstream marketing to coordinate Gating activities, commercial readiness, reimbursement activities, and launch of new products.
• Manage market research, gather facts, and continue to push data-based decision making within the organization.
• Assist business unit marketing and staff with multiple marketing activities and analytics including but not limited to trade shows, sales meetings, training sessions, etc.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with Quality, Legal, and Compliance standards and Requirements.
• Collaborate with BU leadership on product innovation plans and programs, both short and long range, to support the BU objectives.
• Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to ensure upstream marketing is evidence based and responsive to clinical needs
• Develop and roll out fully integrated marketing campaigns through close working partnerships with downstream marketing units
• Develop and maintain relationships with external customers (sub-contract manufacturing, suppliers, distributors etc.)
• Work closely with Sales & Downstream marketing, Legal, Compliance, CMA, Regulatory and R&D teams to set up and route marketing messaging and claims.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in a global or technology-driven industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for crafting compelling product narratives.
• Experience working in cross-functional and international teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Serve as Project Manager for multiple strategic projects – i.e. onboarding new products or 3PFG suppliers or Business Development projects
• Help others to understand internal processes and systems – agile, intake process, C2C, Kallick, GRW, 3PFG, Smartforms etc.
• Represent the Urology BU or EMEA commercial in Global / EMEA-wide projects
• Pinpoint pain points and bottle necks in current processes and structure and work cross-functionally to find solutions (then PM the team to implement suggested solution)
• Attend industry events to understand trends and suggest accompanying strategic initiatives
