Position Summary

The Global Head of Procurement is a critical member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team and is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise-wide procurement vision, strategy, and operating model.


This leadership role will drive competitive advantage through strategic supplier partnerships, supply continuity, innovation, margin expansion, risk management, sustainability, and digital transformation across the Company's global spend portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a world-class procurement organization that serves as a strategic business partner to Operations, R&D, Commercial, Quality, Finance, and executive leadership.


The successful candidate will lead a globally dispersed team responsible for direct and indirect procurement, category management, supplier quality partnership, strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and procurement excellence. This leader will help shape the future global supply network, ensuring resilience, scalability, and value creation in support of the Company's growth strategy.

Principal Responsibilities

Lead Enterprise Procurement Strategy
•    Define and execute a global procurement vision aligned with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
•    Maintain procurement as a strategic business partner and enterprise value creator.
•    Optimize the global supplier network to ensure competitiveness, scalability, resilience, and service excellence.
•    Provide executive leadership with insight into market dynamics, inflationary pressures, commodity trends, geopolitical developments, and supply risks.
•    Drive optimization of the global supplier network to support business continuity, agility, and long-term competitiveness.

 

Strategic Sourcing & Value Creation
•    Lead global sourcing strategies across direct materials, indirect spend, capital equipment and strategic services.
•    Deliver sustainable value creation through cost leadership, productivity initiatives, supplier innovation, process efficiency, and working capital optimization.
•    Develop category management strategies that balance cost, quality, service, innovation, risk, and sustainability objectives.
•    Drive strategic supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and long-term partnership models.
•    Ensure procurement contributes meaningfully to gross margin expansion and revenue growth objectives.

 

Supply Resilience & Risk Management
•    Build and maintain a resilient global supply network capable of supporting business growth and customer commitments.
•    Lead supplier risk management programs encompassing continuity planning, geopolitical risk, sole-source mitigation, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
•    Develop proactive strategies addressing supply shortages, capacity constraints, inflationary pressures, and market disruptions.
•    Establish robust governance processes to monitor supplier performance and risk exposure globally.

 

Supplier Partnerships & Innovation
•    Build strategic relationships with key global suppliers and executive stakeholders.
•    Create a supplier innovation program that leverages external capabilities to accelerate product development, enhance customer value, and improve operational performance.
•    Sponsor executive business reviews with strategic suppliers and establish joint value-creation initiatives.
•    Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and mutual accountability throughout the supplier ecosystem.

 

Procurement Transformation & Digital Excellence
•    Develop and execute a multi-year procurement transformation roadmap.
•    Leverage digital technologies, advanced analytics, AI-enabled procurement tools, and automation to improve decision-making and operational effectiveness.
•    Drive improvements in procurement processes, governance, spend visibility, and supplier performance management.
•    Advance procurement maturity through best-in-class practices, systems, and organizational capabilities.

 

Principal Responsibilities Continued

Sustainability & Responsible Sourcing
•    Lead the development and execution of responsible sourcing and supplier sustainability programs.
•    Ensure procurement practices support corporate ESG objectives and evolving regulatory requirements.
•    Promote ethical sourcing, supplier diversity, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility throughout the supply base.
•    Establish meaningful sustainability metrics and accountability mechanisms across procurement operations.

 

Mergers, Acquisitions & Business Integration
•    Lead procurement due diligence activities supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic growth opportunities.
•    Identify and capture procurement synergies resulting from acquisitions and organizational changes.
•    Support integration activities to ensure rapid realization of value and supply continuity.

 

Leadership & Organizational Development
•    Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive and engaged global procurement organization.
•    Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines to support future business growth.
•    Create a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•    Coach, mentor, and develop procurement leaders across multiple geographies.
•    Serve as a trusted advisor and influential leader within the broader enterprise.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related discipline.
•    Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) preferred.
•    15+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, and supply chain leadership experience.
•    Significant experience leading global procurement organizations within highly regulated manufacturing environments.
•    Demonstrated success managing large international spend portfolios and complex global supplier networks.
•    Proven track record delivering enterprise procurement transformation and sustainable value creation programs.
•    Experience influencing executive leadership teams and presenting to C-suite stakeholders.
•    Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, procurement operations, and risk management.
•    Strong understanding of ERP platforms, digital procurement technologies, spend analytics, and integrated business planning processes.
•    Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and organizational transformations preferred.
