Position Summary

Reporting to the VP, Global IT Applications, this senior leadership position is responsible for the design, delivery and support of all enterprise level Reporting and Analytics Applications, including but not limited to, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, MS Azure analytics components, SAP Data Services, and the Microsoft Suite of office applications used to support Analytics outcomes. This role ensures the strategic development and operational excellence of enterprise-wide Analytics Applications, supporting data driven decision making and innovation.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Lead the Global design, delivery and support of all enterprise level Reporting and Analytics Applications, data platforms, cloud analytics, self-service BI, and AI/ML driven insights 
•    Define and drive enterprise analytics strategies and provide input to the alignment of IT strategy to the objectives of key business partners for the Applications supported 
•    Accountable for the effectiveness of IT general controls for Application, ensuring adherence to all relevant IT policies, procedures, and computer systems validation standards 
•    Review and approve business requirements, process, configuration and functional design, test plans and test reports.
•    Own the process to deploy system changes through sandbox, development, QA and production environments, driving standardization and consistency of process.
•    Ensure design is integrated across all enterprise Application functional and technical teams 
•    Provide solution design and methodology guidance to project team members and service providers
•    Partner with business process owners and program managers in ensuring that requirements and deliverables are understood and agreed, with effective planning of resource, scope, schedule and cost. 
•    Develop a best-in-class, diverse, design and delivery organization by attracting, retaining, and developing high performing IT professionals focused on business outcomes, leveraging managed services as appropriate.
•    Management of the relationship with relevant external consultants, vendors and system integrators
•    Assess, articulate and manage current and future risk associated with enterprise Applications 
•    Ensure data requirements are attainable, appropriately owned, and compliant and own the environment landscape requirements.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Systems
•    5+ years’ experience in Applications leadership roles
•    10+ years’ experience in Reporting & Analytics roles
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Strong ability to manage competing priorities, focusing on highest value and impact  
•    Ability to work across organizational boundaries at all levels through influence, negotiation and partnering for change 
•    Ability to act as a mentor and coach to less experienced analysts by sharing technical expertise 
•    Strong technology and business acumen 
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills, developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives 
•    Strong communication skills 
•    Experience in an FDA regulated environment preferred 
•    Project Management and/or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
