Position Summary

This is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of portfolio coordination and strategic operations within the Command Centre function. Reporting to the Senior Director of Command Centre, you will provide hands-on portfolio tracking and coordination support across four high-impact teams: Reporting & Analytics, Data Governance, Centre of Excellence, and the Innovation Hub. The teams you will work with are highly technical, comprising specialists in analytics, AI, ERP systems, and subject matter experts across supply chain, operations, manufacturing, and revenue processes. To be effective in this role, you must bring a strong technical foundation that allows you to engage credibly with these experts, understand the work being done, and communicate it accurately to senior stakeholders. Beyond day-to-day coordination, this role is designed as a developmental pathway for an individual with the capability and ambition to grow into a senior leadership position. You will gain broad exposure to all aspects of the Command Centre’s remit - from data strategy and governance to technology adoption and innovation - while building the strategic, operational, and stakeholder management skills required to progress in the organisation

Principal Responsibilities

•    Engage technically with analytics, AI, and ERP workstreams to understand project scope, progress, and dependencies; act as an informed bridge between technical teams and senior business stakeholders
•    Maintain and manage the Command Centre’s portfolio tracker, ensuring all projects across the four teams are accurately recorded, up to date, and consistently reported
•    Prepare and deliver portfolio status reports and dashboards for the Senior Director and senior leadership, highlighting risks, dependencies, milestones, and key decisions required
•    Coordinate and facilitate weekly and monthly team meetings, governance reviews, and cross-team working sessions; own the agenda, minutes, and action tracking
•    Act as a central coordination point across Reporting & Analytics, Data Governance, Centre of Excellence, and Innovation Hub — tracking interdependencies and flagging conflicts or blockers
•    Support the Senior Director in managing the operational rhythm of the Command Centre, including preparation of materials for leadership meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning cycles
•    Lead or co-lead specific projects or workstreams as delegated by the Senior Director, with increasing accountability over time as the role develops
•    Build strong working relationships with team leads and key stakeholders across IT, business functions, and regional leadership to facilitate effective delivery
•    Identify process improvement opportunities within portfolio management and operational coordination; design and implement enhanced ways of working
•    Support change management and communication efforts for key initiatives, ensuring business adoption of new technology and processes is effectively tracked and reported
•    Maintain documentation standards and contribute to the governance frameworks owned by the Command Centre

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; business degrees considered where accompanied by strong technical experience
•    Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in portfolio coordination, operations, or a related function
•    Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) desirable but not essential
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and portfolio/project management tools (e.g. Planview, MS Project, or equivalent)
•    Proven experience in portfolio or project coordination, ideally across multiple concurrent workstreams
•    Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a complex, fast-moving portfolio
•    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to engage confidently at all levels from team members to senior leadership
•    Solid technical foundation with the ability to engage credibly with highly experienced analytics, AI, and data teams; comfortable navigating technical discussions and translating outputs for business audiences
•    Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise reports and presentations for senior audiences
•    Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and an understanding of core business domains including supply chain, operations, manufacturing, and revenue processes and systems
•    Genuine interest in AI, advanced analytics, and emerging technology; intellectually curious and eager to engage with innovation in a meaningful way
•    Strategic mindset with the ambition and potential to progress into senior leadership
