Position Summary

Assists with the development, communication and execution of internal and external clinical affairs programs. Provides support to clinical end-users, sales and sales management, marketing and other corporate departments on the safe and effective use of Teleflex medical product portfolios. Supports the appropriate clinical application of Teleflex Medical products via web-based, live and teleconference instruction, education, and understanding of these products and best practices. Drives innovation by identifying product attributes necessary to expand into new markets, or capitalize on new clinical applications; identifies new, clinically driven product and market opportunities.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Collaborate on Contractor utilization, provide guidance to ensure proficiency, consistent educational messaging and support for programs.
•    Identify, develop and communicate educational methodologies and resources, including audio, visual and tactile materials, in-services, cadaver labs, simulation, preceptorship and mentoring opportunities, e- technology, and other methods to enhance the effectiveness of clinical affairs programs.
•    Identify and support field sales efforts through clinical and educational customer needs assessment, product and procedural training, in-servicing, management of the clinical educator program and required customer follow up (i.e., letters, approved product information, samples, educational materials, professional guidelines and standards related to best practices, and clinical evidence-based research articles). 
•    Maintain and develop expertise on Teleflex Medical’s products, with particular emphasis on the product portfolio related to specific clinical specialty area and expertise.
•    Identify and expand the customer base through professional networking, consultation related to best practices and the appropriate clinical use of Teleflex products, and timely professional follow-up.
•    Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job related activities; to include strict adherence to the Teleflex Medical T&E policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms.
•    Keep current with medical literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, and industry trends and communicate with other appropriate departments.
•    Participate in educational, scientific, and promotional activities at identified local, regional, and national tradeshows/exhibitions.
•    Provide written and verbal communication to CMA management and appropriate SBU representatives regarding clinical field activity. 
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Advanced Practice Provider education preferred.  Associate degree accepted. 
•    Five years in the clinical setting, adult education, or sales education in the medical device industry.
•    Clinical experience in the Operating Room focused in General / Bariatric Surgery preferred.
•    Additional experience in medical device is an advantage.  

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Excellent analytical and communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
•    Strong time-management, organizational skills, prioritization abilities and professionalism. 
•    Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers and collaborative skills. 
•    Experience creating adult education curriculums and knowledgeable regarding education techniques.
•    Computer functions/applications as related to laptop use, diskette generation, and remote access of data; with expertise in utilizing such programs as Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce experience preferred. 
•    Principles used to find, analyze and assess clinical studies and appropriately apply them in the support of Teleflex Medical products.
•    Clinical applications and uses of all Teleflex Medical products as well as Teleflex Medical competitors’ products within the clinical area of expertise.
•    Organizational culture and the impact of culture on interdepartmental relationships and communication.
•    Home office environment 

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $140,000-150,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

 

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
