Position Summary

Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair on test and measurement equipment. Support Quality System compliance and EHS for Performance Fibers business (Coventry and Mansfield sites).

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $60,600 and $90,900; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Principal Responsibilities

Calibration:
•    Perform test and measurement equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs.
•    Assist in implementing the software to manage calibration system.
•    Management of test and measurement equipment inventory.
•    Maintain compliance to calibration requirements outlined in ISO 13485:2016.
•    Maintain calibration records.
•    Coordinate calibrations performed by outside vendors and, ensure calibrations performed by vendor are accurate.
•    Ensure existing and new equipment has calibration requirements defined.
•    Communicate calibration failures and assist in risk assessment and investigation needs.
•    Assist with new test and measurement equipment introduction.
•    Identify and support improvements to the site calibration system.
•    Support internal and external audit as needed.

Maintenance:
•    Work closely with maintenance supervisor and facility manager to execute the organization’s annual maintenance plan.
•    Communicate directly with service providers, vendors, and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance, and other projects required to keep the company’s physical assets running smoothly. 
•    Monitor usage of tools and equipment and ensure tools are readily available for assigned tasks.
•    Monitor use of PPE and other resources; recommend replacements when due.
•    Monitor safety and health compliance.
•    Support technicians during their daily equipment inspections and take care of maintenance logs.
•    Provide a wide variety of administrative assistance to managers, especially in the areas of managing work orders and tenant communication.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High school diploma for general education degree (GED) required
•    2+ years working in an ISO 13485 or IS 9001 certified environment required
•    2+ years working with test and measurement experience required
•    2+ years calibration technician experience required
•    SAP or electronic gage tracking system experience preferred.
•    Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and occupational safety principles.
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
•    Ability to organize and prioritize in a highly dynamic production environment.
•    Excellent comunication skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
•    Experience in leading and motivating teams, particularly in safety committees or emergency response groups.
